NextAgency is Easy to Customize to How Your Insurance Agency Works
NextAgency is the life and health insurance agency management software and CRM you'd design and can easily personalize.
Ready to use as-is yet easy to personalize for your insurance agency
NextAgency is ready to use the day you sign up, with fields, stages, and templates built for agencies selling benefits, senior, and life policies. Many agencies never change a thing. When you want to, you can adjust more than 60 settings yourself, with no consultants and no code. Customize a little, a lot, or not at all.
Rigid software makes your agency work its way. Staff drift back to spreadsheets and sticky notes, and the system you’re paying for goes stale. Generic CRMs have the opposite problem. They bend, but only after you pay someone to bend them.
NextAgency starts out fitting life and health agencies, and every change after that is optional. That means you can make software that is already straightforward and intuitive even more so.
Use built-in Sales Statuses and Stages for your pipeline or create your own
Your pipeline, in your agency’s terms. NextAgency comes with standard sales statuses, such as Client and Prospect. Each has stages that show where a case stands in your sales or service pipeline.
If your agency uses different terms or tracks cases differently, create your own statuses and stages. Give each stage a color so it stands out when you scan your case list.
Fields that you’d expect from software built for life and health and easy to add your own
Track what matters to you, and nothing that doesn’t. NextAgency already includes the fields life and health agencies use every day. Generic CRMs don’t know a deductible from coinsurance or that an ACA plan has a metal level. NextAgency does. After all, it was founded by health insurance professionals with over 100 combined years of experience.
Many agencies find what comes with NextAgency is all they need. But if you need them, it’s simple to add custom fields to eight kinds of records: cases, benefits, contacts, commissions, sub-agents, tasks and tickets, notes, and carriers. Choose from nine formats, including dropdowns, dates, currency, and checkboxes. Target case and benefit fields to specific market segments or product types, so your group team never scrolls past fields meant for Medicare clients.
With some competitors, custom fields capture information, but can’t be used for much more than storage. NextAgency custom fields are different. You can search, filter, and report on them just as if they were system fields.
“It is very detailed and gives lots of customization options to help fit your needs best.”

Choose your own home base in NextAgency
See what you want first thing. Each person in your insurance agency picks their own home page in NextAgency. Prefer the Dashboard or a list of your cases and policies? Perhaps you want to start with your personalized to-do list, your CRM pipeline, or a list of contacts? No problem, that’s where you’ll start and it’s where you can return in just a single click from anywhere in the software.
In NextAgency, each member of your team also picks the tab that opens first in a case record. A service rep can land on Benefits. A producer can land on the Summary. You get the idea. NextAgency is the agency management system and CRM you’d design. So it makes sense you can make it your own.
Everyone gets the dashboards they need
See what matters to you at a glance. Dashboards show important information about your agency. They’re made of tiles, which are mini-reports and graphs. Each person picks the tiles with the information they need. Then they can arrange them in the order they prefer across one or more dashboards.
A producer might watch their own pipeline while an owner watches the whole agency. Save several dashboards, and share each one with your team or make them private. With NextAgency it’s your choice.
Hide what you don’t use
Less clutter, more focus. Case records have more than a dozen tabs, including Summary, Contacts, Benefits, Tasks, Calls, and NextMail. Not everyone in your agency uses all of them. NextAgency lets you focus on the information that matters to your job. Each person in your insurance agency can hide the tabs they don’t need. Within most tabs, they can also choose which sections and columns appear.
Notifications work the same way. Each person decides which events trigger an alert, from task changes on their own cases to incoming texts and commission uploads. Anything you hide is still there when you need it.
Commission mapping flexible enough for your carriers’ … eccentricities
Map each carrier’s commission statement once. NextAgency’s optional NextCommission tools save the mapping as that carrier’s default import template moving forward. If a carrier or your agency tracks something the standard fields don’t cover, add a custom field for it.
For sub-agents, create standard split schedules or one-off arrangements. Split commissions, overrides, bonuses, and fees by percentage of compensation, flat amount, percentage of premium, or per employee per month. Build agent hierarchies with rates, carriers, and caps at each level.
Reports the way you want them, about what you want to know
Design a report once, run it whenever you need it. NextAgency includes dozens of report types covering sales, service, contacts, cases, commissions, and activity. Choose the fields, filters, and column order, then save the report as a template. With NextAgency, reports are built around the questions you want answered, not those someone thinks you should ask. Better still, your custom fields are available in reports. So the data you add is data you can analyze.
“Ease of use with the ability to customize to your agency. Customer support is excellent. We use it all day long internally.”

It’s your insurance agency, so you decide who can see and do what with your data
Access that fits each person’s job. A user’s role determines which cases they can see:
-
Administrative Brokers can see every case
-
Writing Brokers see the cases they write or are assigned to
-
Broker Support staff see the cases of the brokers they support
-
Agency Support can see all cases
Permissions given to each user determines what they can see within a case and what they can do with with what they see. Administrative Brokers have unlimited access and the ability to add, edit, or delete records. Other users have the permissions granted to them by an Administrative Broker. This means, Administrative Brokers determine who can see commissions, and who can’t.
In NextAgency, you can also add outside sub-agents as External Users, then limit which elements of case they can see. For example, you can restrict them to view and download their own commission statements. External Users can never add, edit, or delete anything.
Personalization doesn’t mean chaos because you can set agencywide policies
One setting, applied to everyone. Personalization can help everyone in your insurance agency perform more effectively. But some policies need to apply to everyone. With NextAgency, Administrative Brokers, and those they authorize, can customize NextAgency for the whole agency. For example, they can:
- lock notes, tasks, and tickets once they’re saved, so your records show what was recorded and when
- move policies between past, current, and future status automatically as their dates change, or only when your team updates them
- require two-factor authentication to access NextAgency
- sign users out automatically after a period of inactivity
- limit sign-ins to approved IP addresses
- standardize phone number formats
A Few Quick Questions
Can I require certain information be included when my team creates new cases?
Yes. Administrative Brokers can customize the New Case form separately for individual and group cases. And they can choose which fields appear for each, which are required, and in what order.
Can I customize email templates and signatures in NextAgency?
Yes. Create reusable email templates for one-to-one messages and email campaigns, merge templates for documents, and a personal email signature for each user. Your agency’s messages stay consistent, and nobody retypes the same email twice.
Can I automate follow-ups around my insurance agency’s processes?
Yes. Workflows create tasks, send emails and texts, or launch checklists when a triggering event occurs, such as an effective date, a renewal date, a birthday, or a change in sales status. More than two dozen triggers are available. Checklists turn a procedure into a chain of tasks, each created when the one before it is completed.
